Frequently Asked Questions
Learn what to expect, what to bring, and how to make the most of your first NTPA Grand National experience.
What are the event dates and locations?
Busch Light Nationals kicks off May 28–30, 2026 in Evansville, Indiana. Each stop will feature three nights of action-packed Grand National pulling.
What classes will be competing?
Hot Farm, 3.0 Diesel 4x4 Trucks, Super Farm, Light Super Stock, Unlimited Modified, Pro Stock, Light Modified, Modified Mini, and Super Stock Diesel 4WD
Is this a national event?
Yes! This marks the start of the 2026 NTPA Grand National points season, bringing the top competitors in the nation to the Southeast for the first time in decades.
What time do the events start?
Gates typically open a few hours before pulling begins. The first pull usually starts around 6:30 PM CT — check your event’s ticket or social pages for exact times.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Yes, tickets are usually available at the gate, but buying online early is recommended for the best prices and guaranteed entry.
Is there seating or should I bring chairs?
Most venues have grandstand seating, but bringing a folding chair or blanket is a good idea, especially for general admission areas.
Is this a family-friendly event?
Absolutely! Truck and tractor pulling is a great family outing — kids love the noise, lights, and power. Just remember to bring ear protection for little ones (and yourself).
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, ear protection, cash or card for food vendors, and maybe a jacket — it can get cool once the sun goes down. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also smart for daytime hours.
Are food and drinks available?
Yes! Each event features a variety of local food trucks and concession stands offering everything from BBQ to ice-cold lemonade.
Can I meet the drivers or see the machines up close?
Many competitors hang around after their pull — and some events host pit access areas or autograph sessions. It’s a great chance to meet the drivers and snap photos with the machines.
What happens if it rains?
Events may be delayed or rescheduled depending on weather and track conditions. Updates will be posted on the official event Facebook page and website.
